09-11-2010		 Saddle up cowboy! Twice a year Three Bars Ranch invites our guests to join head cow boss Terry Knudson and the rest of the cowboys on a cattle drive. Three Bars is a fully functioning cattle ranch and home to 150 mother cows. During the summer months, the cattle are out on open range. The range is seperated in to large pastures, ranging in size form 20000 acres to 40000 acres. In order to keep the catttle on good grass, every six weeks the cattle need to be gathered up and moved from one pasture to another. This is where you come in. While cattle work in the mountians is very difficult to schedule, riders do return to the ranch every evening. The normal riding program is also available during these weeks.
